Name:
Location: Quispamsis, Canada

I am mainly a watercolor and Pastel artist but I am open to various mediums. I have been painting since 1992. I have travelled alot and have sold works and prints internationally. My works have also won awards. I used to be a member and for a short time president of a local art club however I found the Politics and Personalities interfered too much with my time that could be put into my work. I live on the east coast of Canada and I paint our local beauty as well as the Carribean and the Mediterranean.

The Iris

This painting of a purple Iris is done in soft Pastel on black Stonehedge paper.

I also did this painting a few years ago but would like to share it with my followers and wish all mothers a Happy Mothers Day.

I love working in Pastel and must get back at it. Although I am not as detailed I still like its empressionistic manner.

The other thing I love about Pastel is the brillant pure pigment you can put on the paper!!!!

This is lovely, I like the effect with the dark background.

Hi neighbor! I was playing around on my blog and happened to hit the "next blog" button at the top of the window and there you were! My neighbor! Thought i would say hi, and tell you i like your art work very much. I am also a watercolor painter but that is all. I've tried other mediums but return to watercolor all the time. Your pastel is beautiful!
By for now. Ross

I also love to use pastel, and yes I agree that the impressionists do influence me in my work. i do have to say though that the black paper makes it a strong piece of art. Keep up the good work!
