Griffin& Bear Step 5

Here I have worked some more on his hair which looked quite red in the photo but is actually blonde so I will need to lighten it. I used Yellow ochre to try to lighten it but will need to work on it futher . I have also added more color to his face & ears.

Here I have worked so more on Griffins Face & hair. Bear has been outlined by the shirt & four wheeler. I have also added a pale wash of Lemon Yellow to bear.

Tonight I worked some on darkening Griffins shirt as well as building up the skin tones on his face. I have also started defining his nose and his eyes.

Tonight I finally got back to my watercolors. I have added some yellow undertones to the skin and done the rest of the first layer of Griffins shirt.

Temby, South Wales

This is a watercolor painting I did for my Step daughter Sharon's  fortieth birthday.(July 29th)
 I just gave it to her when we visited Wales in Jan. She seemed very pleased with it. Temby is one of her favorite places and she hopes to live there one day. We went for a drive with her and her oldest daughter Lauren to visit Temby when we were over.
  I did this from a photo she had on Facebook.

Griffin & Bear Step 1 WIP

I have finally got around to starting this painting of my grandson Griffin who is two years old with his Bear riding on a toy four wheeler. Griffin does everything with Bear so this will be a great momento when he is older. The painting is on 300lb Arches water color paper and is 22inches X30.
 This is my largest Portrait yet.
     

Christmas Card 2012

This is the Christmas Card I have made for this year. Every year I do a personal Card that I paint myself. I really wanted to do another one and choose between them but was not up to it.
